Stress that hard work will pay off lizard Impressive so far. This international trio based in France has gradually won over audiences over the past 18 years, culminating with Pelagic and “Eroded”, with a complex, interesting and at the same time anthemic sound that highlights their special charm between progressive and art rock. “net” is already their fifth album and successfully brings their growing platform and recent live experience into the studio.

The powerful, multi-layered opening duo highlighted the growing Franco-British friendship. And there’s the stomping yet energetic “United,” which despite its power exudes optimism and sparkles, giving it a powerful and powerful feel. This wall of sound, flirting with Djent at times, develops into a complex and catchy song, but the pace goes by too quickly. “New Pages” appears light as a feather in comparison, but also hesitant, even cautious. The shimmering melodies floating in the arrangement are played very well, and the middle section is delightfully powerful.

LiZzard loves to play with contradictions and continues to do so with increasing enthusiasm. The alt-rock anthem “The Unseen,” for example, crosses the emotion and gritty riffs of (early) Incubus with the demands of Karnivool, bringing a certain melancholy even amidst its searing intensity. “The Spectator” is a regular epic at the end, full of playful avant-garde scenery, intimate moments and almost metallic strumming. Events occur with constant accumulation and collapse. “Black Sheep” is also exciting because there’s something transcendent and monumental about it, but there’s also a majestic clarity to it.

LiZzard roughly builds on its predecessor in music, creativity and quality, and offers the next smaller treat. The spirit of prog penetrates deeper than ever into the depths of the sound, delivering exciting moments with powerful art rock that sheds its outer skin and evolves with ever-growing passion. The life of “Mesh” lies in its hymns, and there’s usually something more behind the hymns. Things are boiling beneath the surface as unusual contradictions come together and develop with increasing fervor. In this state, Lizard has the opportunity to become an ambitious person.
