OR Melania Trumpat autobiography of her soon-to-be-released book, defends women’s right to abortion, The Guardian reported in an article yesterday, while her husband Donald Trump supports the right of American states to impose restrictions on the voluntary termination of pregnancy.
“It is imperative that we guarantee women the autonomy to decide whether they wish to have children based on their personal beliefs,” writes Ms.former first lady of the USA in her autobiography due out four weeks before the November 5 presidential election.
Women should be “free from any interference or pressure from the government”, underlines Melania Trump.
“Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she will do with her body?” she asks. “Depriving a woman of her right to decide whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is the same as depriving her of control over her own body. I’ve had this view all my adult life,” Melania Trump emphasizes.
The Guardian newspaper explained that it has obtained a copy of the former first lady’s autobiography, titled Melania, which is expected to be officially released on Tuesday, October 8. A spokesman for Melania Trump did not respond to a Reuters request for comment.

Polls show Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in a neck-and-neck battle, with seven swing states likely to decide the outcome of the presidential election.
Democrats see abortion as an issue that favors Harris. A Reuters/Ipsos poll, conducted from August 21 to 28, found that a majority of voters, including 34 percent of Republicans, want the next US president to protect or even increase access to abortion.
“Unfortunately for women across America, Mrs. Trump’s husband strongly disagrees with her, which is why more than one in three American women live under Trump’s Abortion Ban which puts health, liberty and life at risk them,” complained a representative of Harris’ campaign.
