Iran’s new threat: this is how we will respond if Israel attacks

The regime in Iran issued a threat today (Wednesday), according to which if Israel attacks strategic facilities in the country – the Iranians will attack oil facilities in Muslim countries. The message is intended to reach American ears as well, due to the fear of a global energy crisis.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards began to spread on news sites close to them and on various Telegram channels a sharp threat, that if Israel damages oil facilities in Iran, there will be a severe response in the form of an attack on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Azerbaijan, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

This is the first time that the Iranians have threatened – if not officially – that they will expand the missile fire to other countries. The Iranian threat is of course intended to raise concerns in Washington, lest Israeli action against oil installations in Iran lead to a global energy crisis.

So far, the countries mentioned in the Iranian threat have not responded to this publication.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Israel conveyed a message to Western officials that it would directly attack Iran’s nuclear or oil facilities in response to the attack. According to the report, Israel sent a firm message to the international community: we will respond to any harm on Israeli territory. But the threats and the strong messages did not help, and Iran decided to launch 181 ballistic missiles. At the same time, this morning the Iranian news agency Tasnim reported that Iran sent a warning to the US “not to interfere” in the developments vis-a-vis Israel.

Meanwhile, according to a CNN report, the Biden administration estimates that Israel is not expected to damage Iran’s nuclear facilities in response to this week’s missile attack. In contrast to the attack in April, senior officials in the Biden administration emphasize that they are not trying to prevent Israel from attacking Iran, but recognize its right to respond – and hope that the attack will not be “disproportionate”.
