“Welcome to UP 2024” extends to three cities and welcomes the University’s first-year students at the seats of their studies.
Medium length and Agrinio participate for the second year in the great celebration organized by the University of Patras in co-organization with the Region of Western Greece and the Chamber of Achaia, in collaboration with the Municipalities of Patras, Agrini and Messolonghi and with the funding of the Ministry of Culture.
The collaboration of the First Year Students Reception Festival with the Municipalities of Agrinio and Messolonghi, started last year with the aim of spreading the events in all three cities where the University departments operate and host students, with the student and academic community being in a meaningful interaction with the societies .
The aim is for the students to get to know and understand the special characteristics of the areas that host them, but also to make the local communities aware of the student community.

• Organization of a gastronomy festival of Local Productsn in the area of the Old Municipal Market, by the Chamber of Etoloakarnania, the Municipality of Agrini and SAEK Tomi, under the auspices of the Chefs Club (opening hours Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. )
• Organized tour of the students within the city, but also in the wider area of Agrini, from “Dro” – Citizens’ Movement of Etoloakarnania on Friday 18/10 at 10:30 (starting point University of Agrini).
• The Volunteering Ray of the Municipality of Agrini on Friday 10/18 and
Saturday 19/10 he will be at the entrance of the City Hall, in order to welcome and inform the students (from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm).
• At the same time, the member stores of the Agrinio Catering Association will participate in welcoming students by providing special prices and discounts.
MESOLOGNI
Messolonghi participates in Welcome to UP with a concert with musical group “Passengers” in the courtyard of the Trikoupis Family Museum on Friday, October 18 at 19.30 in the afternoon.
Beautiful music from the backbone of art music, with songs that have been loved, will take the students and the audience on a beautiful musical journey.
