The Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, admitted that he had not heard the news that the National Mandate Party (PAN) hoped to get many ministerial seats in the next government cabinet.
“Who said that? I haven’t heard it,” said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, today.
He conveyed this in response to a statement by PAN Secretary General (Sekjen) Eko Hendro Purnomo who said that his party hoped to get as many ministerial seats as possible in the Prabowo-Gibran government cabinet.

“I haven’t heard this comment, I just heard it from the media, I’ll just ask Mas Eko directly, is that true or not,” he said.
He also admitted that he did not know the news regarding three PDI-P cadres who were rumored to be allocated ministerial seats in the Prabowo-Gibran government.
He admitted that his party had never held a meeting with PDIP elites to discuss this matter.

“Yes, up to today, I am still waiting or looking for information whether it is true or not because since yesterday the media has been quite busy asking questions,” he said.
He said he would meet with the General Chair of the Gerindra Party and President-elect Prabowo Subianto on Friday afternoon to confirm the news.
“Well, I haven’t had the chance to meet Mr Prabowo, maybe when I meet him this afternoon I will ask,” he said

Previously, Thursday (3/10), PAN Secretary General Eko Hendro Purnomo alias Eko Patrio said that his party wanted to get as many ministerial seats as possible in the Prabowo-Gibran government because PAN had provided support to Prabowo for 15 years.
“Yes, we really want as many as possible, because we have been with him for 15 years, and we have accompanied Mr Prabowo a lot from the previous three terms,” said Eko at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.
He then said, “If we ask what we want, of course PAN hopes to get something significant from the results of the hard work we have done for Mr. Prabowo.”

He said that PAN General Chair Zulkifli Hasan alias Zulhas had met with Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto to discuss ministerial positions.
He also did not deny the news that Zulhas would be re-appointed as Minister of Trade (Mendag) in the Prabowo-Gibran government.
“Yes, that means it will definitely be prioritized. Even if we can, we will donate it to people who are competent in their fields. “Then the second is a professional in his field,” he said. (Ant/P-2)
