The Egyptian army is training to destroy F-35 fighters and Merkava tanks

This was not the first time, as the Egyptian Armed Forces, in the presence of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, demonstrated during their special training exercises how to confront and destroy Israeli “Merkava” tanks last April.

It is noteworthy that Merkava tanks have transmission devices distributed in the front section of their chassis, but the Merkava Mk2 model, which was produced until the end of the 1980s, is unable to confront modern anti-tank missiles and missiles.

Its excessive weight of 63,000 kilograms prevents the tank from effective modernization. It was equipped with a 105 mm cannon and its maximum speed on the paved road was only 45 km/h.

The Merkava Mk3 model is more advanced, has a 120 mm smoothbore gun, and is equipped with a modern fire command system. But his weight increased to 65,000 kg.

All of these tanks were stored for a long period in Israeli army warehouses, but their technical condition is considered acceptable.

Israel also possesses the F-35i Adir, which means “the Great” in Hebrew. This aircraft is a pivotal element in the Israeli defense strategy due to its advanced capabilities and customized features.

The Israeli Air Force operates several squadrons, including “Southern Lions” aircraft No. 116, “Senior Pilot” aircraft No. 117, and “Golden Eagle” aircraft No. 140, stationed at Nevatim Air Base in the Negev Desert.
