The opposition leader, María Corina Machado, asked Venezuelans to prepare the day before for the July 28 elections and announced the five tasks that everyone will have to do on election day.
Through a video published on the social network “You who long for that day of reunion and who know that the key is your vote and the key is the voting center.”
“This message is for every Venezuelan who is going to vote that day. From Saturday the 27th we have to prepare for what will be that day of gift for Venezuela,” he expressed.
In this sense, he recommended preparing a kit with the ID, coffee, water, food and a stool for the long lines that he assures there will be. In addition, he remembered to bring a charged cell phone and an extra battery or charger “because it will be a super important tool for the next day.”
For July 28, he indicated that there are five very important tasks that care must perform, these are:
- “Vote very early, as early as you can.”
- “Take care of the center throughout the day,” for them, he asked that friends, neighbors and family members coordinate to take turns and “that our centers are accompanied throughout the day.”
- “If you are part of a group you already know that you have other tasks,” among them he explained that they must help bring food to the centers.
- “Your phone is your tool.” At this point he remembered that it is very important to record everything that happens that day and make that information known through social networks.
- “You are going to count your vote.” Machado explained that starting at 6 p.m. “everyone has the right to participate in the scrutiny, which is a public act and established in art 140 of the organic law of electoral processes.”
“July 28 will be a day of celebration but also a day of vigilance and a lot of work. We have fought 25 years for a moment and the moment has arrived. Now it’s up to you as a citizen, as a Venezuelan, to vote and make your vote count,” he concluded.
