Kamil “Taazy” Mataczyński is one of the discoveries of recent months. The streamer first became very recognizable on the Internet, then he defeated Robert Pasut at the PRIME MMA gala, and later conquered the National Stadium. And he grew into a new star of fights.
Mataczyński jumped into the tournament in the Roman cage, which he unexpectedly won, scoring a series of victories in front of a huge audience. “Taazy’s” popularity became so great that he was selected to fight in the main event of the FAME: The Freak gala.
Mataczyński’s opponent was Jose “Josef Bratan” Simao. The men didn’t adjust to each other quickly. In mid-September, while recording promotional materials for the gala, “Taazy” confused Josef with his brother, Alberto.
– I thought it was Alberto! I look, tall, big, I say Alberto, right? And that’s f***ing Mater! It was such a joke! – said Mataczyński, suggesting that Josef’s sudden improvement in figure was caused by taking steroids.
After the press conference before the gala, “Taazy” had a fight with his opponent’s brother. Backstage, Mataczyński did not shake Alberto’s hand and punched him in the stomach. There was a scuffle between the men, which ended only with the intervention of security.
The injury defeated Josef Bratan
From the very beginning of the fight, “Taazy” proved why he was the clear favorite. The winner of the last tournament at the National Stadium bravely attacked his opponent and bombarded him with further blows. Although at the beginning of the first round “Taaza” still had problems with gaining the appropriate distance, 1:20 minutes before the end of the first round he sent his rival to the mat.
At some point, however, the favorite faced his opponent’s counterattack. This most likely caused a broken nose for “Taazy”, who had trouble stopping the bleeding when he entered the second round. This didn’t stop him from his rhythm, however.
From the beginning of the second round, “Taazy” changed his tactics and bombarded his opponent with subsequent low kicks. These caused great problems and pain for Josef. Bratan was also punished with the deduction of one point. And not for falling over often, as the referee pointed out, but for elbowing him.
And when everyone was waiting for the third, decisive round, the fight was unexpectedly stopped. This was the decision of the doctor who diagnosed the injury and Bratan. – Strong guy, I haven’t taken such strong blows in a long time. It annoyed me that he lay down all the time. It was strange. It’s a shame because I wanted a third round. Then I would have finished it – said “Taazy” after the fight.
The winner admitted after the fight that in the next fight he would like to face the brother of Friday’s opponent, Alberto. – After this “leaf” my ear is still ringing. Give it to him in November or wherever he wants, he said.
– After one of the blows, something snapped and I felt pain every time I closed my hand. This isn’t how I wanted it to end, but with one hand, what the f***? That’s what happens, said Josef Bratan after the fight.
