Wonderful sounds in beautiful surroundings: Jordan Rakei wows you!

I was very tired that night but still dragged myself to bed. Jordan Rakei’s concert is sold out, and if it’s sold out, it must mean something. Not only did I arrive on time, but the show also started on time! UK supports artists”Dhruv“I was surprised to be on stage on time. I wasn’t expecting to hear something like this – his soft, bright yet buzzy vocals fit perfectly with his RNB indie pop set. Anyway, there’s some really good stuff there melody, it might be exciting to see how it develops! Anyway: good music, great performance, recommended listening!

After a short break, it’s time to “Jordan cheers“–and of course it looked equally on time. He was sitting at the piano at the beginning of the show, and I was a little worried that we were only going to see this perspective of him. But by the second song, he stood up and started singing his RNB soul-pop song – I think it’s great. This alternation of sitting and standing takes place throughout his performance, providing not only musical variety but also visual variety.

Granted, I’m really new to his musical output, but I find his repertoire to have a lot of catchy hooks. I never find myself bored because it stays in one area of music, on the contrary: sometimes it becomes very danceable due to a lot of rnb, then full of emotion and soul, sometimes because of the pointed use of many pop elements, sometimes even It has a bit of a thriller vibe! Despite the variety, every song sounds like him, and luckily no one has to dig into the cover band’s bad vibes.

Jordan Rakei not only plays the piano, but the guitar is also one of his working instruments. But what I love most is that he doesn’t have to operate an instrument, but instead walks around and dramatically waves his arms in the air. I also love how his voice distorts at times – it gives the music the perfect twist. My stance that night was less than perfect (after the camerawork was done) – sometimes I was farthest on the right, sometimes I was farthest on the left – and I never saw all the way to the stage. The crowd at Jordan Rakei was really huge – even though I was on my tiptoes and fully stretched out trying to get an overhead shot, my camera stayed focused. it’s out of the question.

As the show came to an end, it became clearer to me why “Jordan Rakei” was invited to such a major event as last summer’s Glastonbury Festival: it performed really, really well! The greatest achievement in the end was his interactive nature with the audience – suddenly everyone was singing along and clapping – this is exactly what a concert should be like! I went home afterwards with a very good feeling and very happy that I could attend Jordan Lackey’s first Austrian concert!
