Defender of Ukraine Day is probably the most important public holiday of the year during a full-scale war. On this day, we honor the heroes and heroines who are fighting for the independence of their Motherland. And we also remember the memory of the soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine.
The Day of Defenders of Ukraine is tied to the Feast of the Intercession. Previously, the celebration was celebrated on October 14, but after the transition of the OCU to the new calendar, the date shifted by 13 days. October 1 is the Defender of Ukraine Day 2024. Today it is worth congratulating close and familiar military personnel and thanking them for their service.
