The Middle East is in flames, Ukraine is plagued and North Korea “will not hesitate” to use every weapon of war at its disposal, including nuclear weapons, in the event of an attack by hostile forces. This was stated by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, a few days after the warning addressed to Pyongyang by South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol, according to which the use of tactical nuclear weapons would mark the end of the “North Korean regime”.

“If the enemy attempts to use armed forces to undermine the sovereignty of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, filled with excessive confidence in the South Korea-US alliance and ignoring our repeated warnings, we will without hesitation use all offensive forces in our possession, including nuclear weapons,” Kim said, quoted by North Korea’s official Korean Central News Agency.

The North Korean leader’s sister, Kim Yo-jong, director of the Agitation and Propaganda Department of the North Korean Workers’ Party, instead pointed the finger at Seoul for displaying new ballistic missiles during a military parade in Seoul, declaring that South Korea exhibited the “power inferiority” of a non-nuclear state.
