An expected conversation between Biden and Netanyahu about coordinating an attack in Iran

Ministers in the Israeli political-security cabinet demand that Israel’s attack in Iran be severe, and that “the response must exact a price from the Ayatollah regime.”* Biden: “We are already helping Israel. We will protect Israel, and there is still a lot to be done.”

US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are expected to speak with the aim of coordinating the nature of the attack that Israel threatens to launch against Iran, in response to the Iranian missile attack on Israel, last Tuesday evening.

Israeli officials, who participated in deliberations held by Netanyahu with the leadership of the security apparatus, yesterday, said that he “expects a severe and coordinated response with the United States, within days,” Channel 12 reported from them today, Friday.

Biden told reporters yesterday that, “We are already helping Israel. We will protect Israel,” adding that “there is still a lot to do, a lot to do,” and that “I do not think there will be an all-out war. I think we are able to avoid it.” “, according to Reuters.

Biden added, in response to a question about whether he would allow Israel to attack Iran, that “we do not ‘allow’ Israel to attack Iran, we give it advice.”

Ministers in the Israeli political-security cabinet demand that Israel’s attack on Iran be severe, and that “the response must exact a price from the Ayatollahs’ regime.”

Israel seeks to exert pressure on Western countries, with the participation of the United States, with the aim of imposing sanctions on Iran, taking advantage of the latter’s missile attack in order to toughen the position of Western countries against Iran, according to many Israeli media outlets.

Channel 12 indicated that the Israeli security service continues its preparations for several scenarios to attack Iran in coordination with the United States, and that the nature and timing of such an attack will be decided later, while the Israeli Air Force is in a high state of readiness.

For his part, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said yesterday that Tehran would be ready to respond to an Israeli attack, and that “any kind of military attack, terrorist act, or crossing our red lines will be met with a decisive response from our armed forces.”

Following its attack on Israel, Tehran announced that it was “self-defense” and warned of “devastating attacks” on Israel if it responded to the attack. Tehran also warned the United States against intervening against it, threatening a “harsh response” if it did.
