Samsung launches Password Key

Samsung is preparing to launch its own password storage system, Samsung Password Key, which could become a competitor to Google Password Manager and LastPass.

Here’s what we know

At this year’s conference, Samsung unveiled expanded passkey support for its smart home devices.

The first devices to support Samsung Password Key will be Tizen-based TVs, which will be released in 2025. Gradually, support will be added to other Samsung home appliances, significantly increasing user security.

Access keys replace passwords with biometrics, making authentication more secure and convenient.

Over time, it is expected that passkeys will also be supported in the company’s refrigerators, washing machines and other devices.
