Ex-top manager Ederer new ÖBB supervisory board boss | Nachrichten.at

She succeeds Andrea Reithmayer, who resigned from her position. Cornelia Breuß was appointed as a new member, the state railway announced on Thursday. Ederer was chairwoman of the supervisory board between 2014 and 2018 and has been an ordinary member since 2020.

Ederer, who is from Vienna, started her career after studying economics in the economics department of the Vienna Chamber of Labor. She then served, among other things, as State Secretary for Europe and was jointly responsible for Austria’s accession to the European Union. In 2000 she moved to the board of Siemens AG Austria, where she was general director between 2006 and 2014. In 2010 she was appointed to the board of directors of Siemens in Germany, which she left in 2013.

Reithmayer is moving to ÖBB Infra

Andrea Reithmayer will remain with the ÖBB Group and will take on a management role in the real estate sector at ÖBB Infra in the future, ÖBB said in a press release.

As of Thursday, the Supervisory Board of ÖBB-Holding AG is composed as follows: Brigitte Ederer (Chairwoman), Kurt Weinberger (1st Deputy), Herbert Kasser (2nd Deputy), Elfriede Baumann, Cornelia Breuß, Markus Himmelbauer, Angela Köppl and Cattina Leitner. Roman Hebenstreit (third deputy), Gerhard Siegl, Olivia Janisch and Andreas Martinsich were sent from the works council. Elfriede Baumann was also nominated today to the supervisory board of ÖBB-Personenverkehr, and Angela Köppl to the supervisory board of Rail Cargo Austria.
