PT Pertamina Patra Niaga noted that as of October 1 2024, the number of registrants who had purchased subsidized Pertalite fuel oil (BBM) with a QR code reached 5,515,878 vehicles. The QR code is attached to the vehicle so that one vehicle only has 1 code according to the vehicle registration certificate document (STNK) owned by each vehicle.
“We continue to intensify the socialization and registration of this QR code, especially now that verification is faster after the use of artificial intelligence or artificial intelligence (AI),” said PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Heppy Wulansari in an official statement, Wednesday (2/10).
Pertamina, he said, as an operator has an obligation to record consumers and the volume of subsidized fuel transactions mandated by the government. Heppy explained that the QR code was used by Pertamina Patra Niaga to record assignment fuel transactions better and more transparently considering the compensation budget provided by the government for Pertalite products.

Until now, the locations focused on purchasing pertalite with QR codes are several areas in Java, Madura, Bali or Jamali and several areas outside Jamali, namely East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, North Maluku, Riau Islands, Gorontalo and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
“For those who already have a QR code, we remind you to always carry it with you when recharging, you can print it out and keep it in your wallet or save a photo on your cellphone,” said Heppy.
He also reminded that this QR code should be kept confidential to avoid misuse by irresponsible individuals.
Registration for purchasing Pertalite via QR code is still open on the website by including complete vehicle documents, namely KTP, STNK and a photo of the vehicle from the side view that shows the number of wheels and the vehicle’s police number plate. (S-1)
