Frank Fritz, known from the American TV show ‘American Pickers’, has died at the age of 60. Mike Wolfe (60), co-host of the program, announced this via Facebook.

“We have made countless trips”

Frank died on Monday, Mike writes. “Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself,” his colleague said. “We have made countless trips and shared so many miles and I feel blessed to have been by his side as he made one final journey home.”

In American Pickers various presenters travel through the United States in search of antique treasures that they can buy from collectors. The presenters add the finds to the collection in their own antique shops. The series was first shown in 2010 on the American History Channel.

The TV channel has also responded to Frank’s death: “We are saddened to share that our friend and beloved member of the American Pickersfamily, Frank Fritz, passed away on September 30.”
