Will go to any extent to stop protests in Islamabad: Home Minister

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said on Thursday that we will go to any extent to stop the protest, we cannot afford that the Prime Minister of any country is here and such things are happening here.

During the news conference in Islamabad, he said that ‘Malaysian Prime Minister is in Pakistan, during this time if someone attacks Islamabad, there will be no relaxation, no one should complain later.’

According to him: ‘We have to make our arrangements in every way. There will be no relaxation in the protocol and security of the Malaysian Prime Minister.

He said that it is your constitutional right to hold a meeting, but it will not be allowed. Protest is everyone’s right but it should not be done at the cost of the country. If someone attacks, there will be no relaxation on him.’

He further said that ‘tomorrow is an important day, in any case this disturbance should not be created. If someone is going to protest, the police have made full preparations, so no one should complain.’

He said that ‘Maulana Fazlur Rehman has also requested that the protest be postponed. After so many years, this conference is being held in which the heads of the country are coming.

Regarding the demonstration of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, he said, ‘Look at the interest of the country first, look at the interest of the party later. Then I will say that no one should complain later.’

He said that there is no need to contact anyone in this regard. You can protest on any other day.’

Regarding the public holiday on the occasion of the SCO conference, he said that ‘a summary has been sent to the Prime Minister for the SCO conference and when he gives his approval, the holiday will be announced.’

When the roads of the city were closed, he said, ‘I apologize to the citizens for installing containers, but it is a necessity. We are facing difficulties ourselves.’
