For the third year in a row, the UoP Racing team of the University of Patras at Formula Student Festival which took place over the weekend in Athens, demonstrating together with 10 other teams from the country’s respective polytechnic schools the capabilities of their single-seaters and the prospect of motoring in Greece.
For two days, Saturday and Sunday the students participating in the UoP Racing team of the University of Patras, were present in the area outside the Glyfada Town Hall, which hosted the festival, and presented all the changes they have made to the design and construction of the single-seater, which we remind you has been distinguished in competitions abroad in the past. At the same time, they participated in on-the-go demonstrations and interactive activities.
The team of the University of Patrasaccording to what he is able to know pelop.grwants to return to winning the Formula Student competitions, and is working hard on it, with the aim of participating the electric car they have designed in European competitions of 2025.
We remind you that UoP Racing is the first and longest-running Greek Formula Student team. It was founded in 2001, under his patronage Production and Automation Systems Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. More than 200 students from various have participated in the group Departments of the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras, Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology, Computer Engineering and Information Technology but also from other faculties of the University such as Economics, Business Administration, etc.
Within the framework of the 3rd Formula Student Festival, a two-day event was also held on the theme “Energy, Technology, Development: Polytechnic schools and the challenges in the new era for Automotive”, where topics related to new technologies, energy sources and development prospects in the automotive sector.
