Gymnasts confidently win the Stausee Cup

Around 200 gymnasts took part in the Stausee Cup in Dotternhausen. The favored TV Spaichingen with its six regional league gymnasts Vivien Müller, Cynthia Müller, Annika Weiß, Lara Weiß, Jule Weiß and Stefanie Sauter competed in the freestyle competition for the second time in accordance with the international statutes of the “Code de Pointage (CdP)”.

Fall on the uneven bars

The Spaichingen team started on the uneven bars. Stefanie Sauer showed a clean exercise with flip turns, a backwards sole wave, giant rims and a backwards somersault dismount. Jule Weiß also knew how to impress with clean exercises. Vivien Müller presented equally high difficulties such as bending over and free rim into the handstand, but had to accept a fall while doing her giant rim with full rotation and lost valuable points. The safe and well-executed exercises by Annika Weiß, Lara Weiß and Cynthia Müller completed the team result with high scores.

Acrobatics on the balance beam

On the balance beam, the six Primtäler women did not fall from the apparatus. The team demonstrated safe acrobatic elements as well as various jumping combinations. Vivien Müller was able to perform the Menykelly spread somersault connection safely into a standing position.

In the floor routine, the team knew how to impress with acrobatic combinations such as rondat – flick-flack – backward twist, rollover – forward stretch somersault and forward twist. Lara Weiß secured the second highest floor score and the same level as Finia Holder behind Valerie Burdukov from SV Hülben and thus secured participation in the floor final. There she showed an expressive implementation of her choreography and impressed with the dynamics and height of her acrobatics and gymnastics. Ultimately, she won the floor final against two gymnasts from the 3rd Bundesliga.

Outstanding team performance

On vault, each gymnast was only given the opportunity to perform her vault once. The TVS mastered this challenge with flying colors and with “half/in – half/out” jumps. Vivien Müller and Jule Weiß showed high, bent Tsukaharas. The latter took victory, followed by her teammate Vivien Müller.

With their outstanding performances, the TV Spaichingen gymnasts clearly won the competition as a team in the overall ranking – with a clear gap to second-placed SV Hülben.

A significantly higher level of performance awaits the TVS on Saturday, October 5th, in the Sparkasse Arena in Balingen on the third day of competition in the regional league.
