Waldbrunn/Neckargerach. (ots) Last week, a supposed gutter company attempted to repair gutters against the homeowners’ wishes.
On September 24th, a previously unknown man rang the doorbell of a 75-year-old on Hahnenfeldstrasse in Strrumpflbrunn and offered him work on his gutter. He took the 75-year-old by surprise and started work without his consent. Three more men joined them later. One of the men got the 75-year-old to drive to the bank and hand him four-figure cash.

Three days later, another man aged 82 told police that men, probably between the ages of 30 and 40, had also rung his doorbell to clean his gutter. When he threatened to call the police, the men ran away. It later turned out that the men had already removed a gutter on his house on Schützenstrasse in Neckargerach. The material damage amounts to around 1000 euros.
In both cases, the men drove away in an unmarked white car. The Limbach police station is now looking for other victims and witnesses who can provide information about the perpetrators. You are asked to call 06274 928050.
