The Venezuelan Football Federation announced the players who are called up for the matches against Argentina and Paraguay that will take place on October 10 and 15, in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

In total, there are 40 footballers called up, including 25 players from the Under 20 division, such as Pedro Fulco, Ángel Peñaranda, Juán Sánchez, Miguel Vegas, among others. They will be under the direction of Ricardo Valiño.

Another name that stands out is Yangel Herrera, who had been out the previous day of the Qualifiers, due to a fibrillar tear in his left leg. The other players are Tomás Rincón, Darwin Machís, Yeferson Soteldo, Salomón Rondón and Jefferson Savarino.

The first match will be against the Argentina team, current leader of the classification table and current World Cup champion, at the Monumental Stadium of Maturín (Monagas) on October 10. Then, on October 15, the team led by Fernando “Bocha” Batista will play as a visitor against Paraguay at the Defensores del Chaco Stadium, in Asunción, the capital of that country.
