A claim to ban Pakistani women and children from performing Hajj in 2025 was made on a news channel’s YouTube channel.
On August 30, 2024, City 41, a news channel in Faisalabad, posted a video on its YouTube channel Video The post claimed that Saudi Arabia has banned women and children from performing Hajj. The text of the video’s thumbnail read, ‘Children and women will not perform Hajj’. The Saudi government imposed a major ban.
The YouTube video posted by City 41 has been viewed by more than 82,000 people. The video was also shared on Facebook and X.
Later, when this news was investigated, its truth came out and the pool of claims was opened.
One related to Hajj 2025 from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to the Ministry of Religious Affairs Health Advisory was issued in which he said that people suffering from complex diseases will not be able to leave for Hajj, in view of the severe weather, only healthy pilgrims will be allowed to perform Hajj.
