Bollywood star Govinda’s niece and actress Ragini Khanna has reacted to the rumors about her leaving her Hindu religion.
According to Indian media, a photo of Ragini Khanna was posted by a handle on the photo and video sharing app Instagram yesterday, showing that the actress has left Hinduism and accepted Christianity.
The said photo looked fake but despite this, Hindu extremist social media users criticized Ragini Khanna and termed her as an idiot.
Fed up with the hateful comments of social media users, Ragini Khanna denied all the rumors about conversion while talking to Indian media.
Ragini Khanna said that I was born in Hinduism but I believe in all religions, for me all religions have equal importance.
The actress said that the rumour-spreading Instagram handle had collaborated with me in a joint post, and I had accepted his request without even seeing the post.
Later I learned that the post showed me in a church and gave the impression that I had converted to Christianity.
He said that when this post went viral, that Instagram handle removed my account from that post, I don’t know who is plotting this against me.
Ragini Khanna said that anything ever happens on social media, I would like to tell my fans not to believe such fabricated rumours.
The actress said that I also go to temples, churches and shrines, if someone sees me as a Christian or a Muslim then I have no problem but I want to make it clear that I have not changed my religion.
She added that I am a Hindu by birth, I love my religion more than ever and I respect other religions too.
