Comparison Moto G73 vs Moto G75: what has changed?

A Motorola recently launched the Moto G75model that will replace the Moto G73with several improvements that are worth highlighting. Both devices belong to the brand’s mid-range line, but the new model brings significant updates that could influence the choice of those looking for a more advanced smartphone. In this comparison, objectively understand what really changed between the two models.

Moto G73: With dimensions of 161.4 x 73.8 x 8.3 mm and weighing 181gthe Moto G73 is a little smaller and lighter. Its construction brings a plastic framecom plastic on the back e glass on the frontin addition to being water resistant with a repellent design.

Moto G75: The new model is a little bigger and heavier, with 166.1 x 77.2 x 8.3 mm e 208g. Furthermore, the G75 introduces a curved rear silicone polymermaintaining the front glass and plastic frame. Moto G73: The G73 screen has 6.5 inches and it’s the type IPSwith a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and update rate 120Hz. Its pixel density is 405 ppi.

Moto G75: The G75 comes with a larger screen, 6.78 inchesalso of the type IPS and with the same update rate as 120Hzhowever, with a resolution of 1080 x 2388 pixels and slightly lower density than 387 ppi. An important difference is the brightness of up to 1000 nits (HBM)which improves visibility in bright light.

Performance and operating system

Moto G73: Powered by Mediatek Dimensity 930 (6 nm)with a CPU octa-core (2×2.2 GHz Cortex-A78 e 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55)the G73 offers good performance for everyday tasks. It comes with 8GB RAM e 128GB of storagein addition to being equipped with the Android 13.

Nicolas Muller, our editor-in-chief, tested the Moto G73 in heavy games such as Call of Duty Mobile, where it achieved an average of 59 frames with 94% stability. In PUBG he also hit 59 frames and Mortal Kombat managed to reach 120 frames. In Tower of Fantasy and CarX Street, it was below 30 frames, with a lot of crashes, being considered not ideal for playing. The games were configured with medium graphics.

In the benchmark test, the G73 scored 420 thousand points in AnTuTu, falling behind the Galaxy M53 and M62. Which proves the idea of ​​him being among the intermediaries, nothing more than that. The video with the full analysis is available below:

Moto G75: The Moto G75 features a significant processor upgrade, now with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (4 nm)with a more robust CPU (4×2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 e 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55). It also comes with 8GB RAMbut doubled the storage to 256 GBoffering more space for applications and files. Furthermore, it comes with the Android 14ensuring the latest news and optimizations of the operating system.

We haven’t tested the Moto G75 here yet, but there is great expectation that this set of specifications will perform better than its predecessor. We will update this section of the article soon.

Moto G73: Equipped with a main camera 50 MP, f/1.8 (wide) com PDAFthe G73 also has a camera ultrawide de 8 MP, f/2.2, 118°. Video recording can be done in Full HD a 30/60 fpswhile the front camera of 16 MP film in Full HD a 30 fps.

Overall, the photos aren’t great, but they aren’t bad either. In most scenarios, they fall somewhere in between. During the day, they have great sharpness, portrait mode works really well, with well-made cutouts. See some photos we took with the Moto G73:

Moto G75: The G75 keeps the main camera 50 MPbut now with OIS (optical stabilization)which results in more stable photos and videos. The ultrawide camera has also been improved to 8 MP, f/2.2, 119°with a larger sensor. Another improvement is the ability to record videos in 4K a 30 fpsboth on the rear and front cameras, which is also of 16 MP.

Moto G73: The G73 offers connectivity 5G, Wi-Fi Dual Band e Bluetooth 5.3in addition to NFC. It has a headphone jack 3.5mm and stereo speakers.

Moto G75: The G75 brings advances in connectivity, with Wi-Fi 6e Tri-Band e Bluetooth 5.4in addition to having Improved GPS which supports multiple satellite systems, including QZSS e BDS. The G75 also adds FM radioabsent in the G73, and maintains the NFC and the headphone jack.

O Moto G75 brings several improvements compared to the Moto G73with a more powerful processor, greater storage, better camera system, improved water protection and wireless charging. The Moto G75 doesn’t lose out to its predecessor in any department.

So, for users looking for more performance and modern features, the G75 is the best choice. In any case, the G73 should continue to be an excellent option for those looking for good value for money, especially considering its current more affordable price, currently in the R$1,300 range. For now, the Moto G75 is not available in Brazil.
