At the beginning of this year, amid the launch of Apple Vision Prowe followed the launch of several applications for the mixed reality headset system, including the Junoan unofficial app from YouTube — which still doesn’t have a legitimate app dedicated to the platform, by the way.
The fact is that, now, the application has unfortunately been removed from the visionOS App Store — all this after complaints from YouTube itself. According to the developer Christian SeligYouTube reached out a few months ago stating that Juno was violating the YouTube Terms of Service and YouTube API 1 by “modifying the native user interface” as well as using YouTube “trademarks and iconography” that could confuse customers.
Sad news, but Juno for YouTube has been removed from the App Store. It’s been a ton of fun to build, thanks to all who used it and enjoyed it! https://t.co/W1xLBpKSgd

In response, Selig switched from using the embedded player to the web player, as well as making it clear that Juno was an unofficial YouTube viewer and that, as such, the app was not using YouTube’s APIs.
At the same time, however, YouTube filed a complaint with the App Store — and Selig advised customers that he would not oppose Google on any decisions related to Juno. With the app removed now, therefore, Selig said he will not appeal the measure.
As a result, those who want to watch YouTube on Vision Pro will need to use Safari; Users who already downloaded the app before its removal will still be able to access it, according to the developer.
