A cause that makes particular sense in Saint-Étienne, the only community to have developed an unprecedented Cancer Plan on a city scale.

Small gestures and meetings will punctuate this month dedicated to health and solidarity.
The Holy Rose
First of all, a record to beat! There were 5,000 of you last year… We will have to do even better Sunday October 13with the 6th edition of Sainté Rose.
The start of the race will be given at 11 a.m., at François-Mitterrand Parkwith the support of the City. After a collective warm-up and music, three courses will be offered (2.5 km, 5 km or 8 km), on which you can start by walking or running.
In addition, the Matrus racededicated to children, whose departure will take place at 10 a.m.
Each participation will allow support the Loire Cancer Leagueas well as the actions carried out by the genetics department of Saint-Étienne University Hospital for women with breast cancer.

Pink ribbons sewn by our elders
And to show their support for Pink October, each runner will be able to wear a pink ribbon on their bib. But not just any one. Unique pieces, patiently made by… our residents!
Because yes, for the first time this year, Saint-Etienne nursing homes participate in their own way at this event while knitting conscientiously, for several weeks, pink ribbons which will be given to participants. A great lesson in solidarity, like at the Les Cèdres de Terrenoire residence.
From La Comète to market stalls
But the mobilization does not stop there!
Saturday October 12throughout the morning, head to the La Terrasse market to design your own smoothie… while pedaling.
A smoothie bike will be at your disposal to combine physical activity and a balanced diet, two health benefits!
These events will be offered by the City at François-Thomas Square, in conjunction with the League Against Cancer.
Thursday October 17the Youth Info Space will receive schoolchildren for a prevention day for high school girls and students.
On the program: escape game on health and self-examination workshops, in addition to other fun activities.

As part of its 2021-2026 Cancer Planan essential point of the mandate plan, the City of Saint-Étienne is continuing its concrete actions, as close as possible to residents.
