Within the framework of Audiovisual Heritage Month, the capital of Tucumán is preparing for a cycle that unites the magic of cinema with the rhythm of live music. Three meetings scheduled in different museums in the city will offer attendees an enriching cultural experience, highlighting works by the renowned filmmaker Jorge Preloranwhose production is preserved in the documentary collection of the National University of Tucumán (UNT).
The screenings, which will feature live music from prominent local artists, will take place in the following spaces and dates:
– JThursday October 38 pm – Provincial Historical Museum Pte. Nicolás Avellaneda (Congress 56)
The opening of the cycle will begin with the projection of *Images of Iruya* (1968), accompanied by the music of Patricio Garcia y Bruno Vitawho promise a memorable evening.
– Thursday October 178 pm – Casa Padilla Museum (May 25, 36)
On this occasion, the public will enjoy Hermógenes Cayó (1969), with the musical interpretation of Noelia Antelowho will offer his talent in a night of movies and melody.
– Thursday October 318 pm – Provincial Folk Museum (September 24, 565)
The closing of the cycle will be with the screenings of Feria de Yavi (1967) and Feria de Simoca (1965), by Martín Páez de la Torre, who will delight those present with his music in a festive and cultural atmosphere.
This event is the result of the collaboration between the Cultural Entity of Tucumán, through the Directorate of Audiovisual Media and the Directorate of Cultural Heritage, and the University School of Cinema Video and TV of the UNT, through its Department of Documentation and Archive .
Admission is free, allowing the entire community to enjoy this proposal that promotes audiovisual heritage and local culture. It is expected that each meeting will not only highlight the value of cinema, but also celebrate the musical wealth of Tucumán, creating a space for meeting and reflecting on our traditions.
