IN empowering MSMEs in the field of making food and beverage labels and packaging, 4 graphic companies that have been around for decades in Indonesia collaborated to form a community and business unit called Poshana.

Poshana Co-Founder, Laurensius Candra, said that the various MSME products whose labels and packaging had been upgraded at the IdeaFest 2024 event which was held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) were aimed at building public awareness about the importance of branding or building the image of a product.

“At this event, we collaborated with 13 brands of MSME products to take part in the event at IdeaFest 2024 which was attended by thousands of visitors with the hope that consumers and MSMEs can understand the importance of labels and packaging for several products such as those being exhibited,” he said, Monday (30/ 9).

Poshana itself, Laurensius continued, collaborates with four packaging companies such as Samafitro, Bintang Perfect, ePac and KitaLabel. Laurensius emphasized that the collaboration between these four companies has their respective expertise in the fields of branding, label printing, flexible and rigid packaging/boxes and added with special finishing is one of Poshana’s strengths in building and strengthening business lines for MSME players.

“Before collaborating, we each had a program to help MSMEs in our own way, but we realized that we could not provide a comprehensive solution because the needs of each MSME were different. With our collaboration, we can provide a more complete solution and “It’s better to solve various problems faced by MSME players in terms of branding and providing quality packaging,” said Laurensius.

This exhibition at the JCC is not Poshana’s first program which has been established since 2023. Poshana has also collaborated with various parties including ministry sub-departments in Manado, Bitung, Tomohon, Bandung and in various other cities. Together with the Ministry of Trade and Ministry of Industry, Poshana wants to raise awareness among MSME players about the importance of product packaging that can penetrate the global market.

“Poshana’s participation was also supported by graphic designers from Bina Nusantara University by displaying the Xode character – “baby Sumatran tigers” created by students and lecturers and bringing several consumer products to the Ideafest 2024 event. As for our support for products such as Terra, Mineral Botanica “, Klarens, Paladin, Saladin, Cokelatin, Cupacupa, Healthycious, Yuro, Titan 88, Christine Cookies and Lyvia are intended to provide market exposure to more new consumers for their products,” explained Laurensius.

Meanwhile Chief Executive Officer Indonesian Chocolate, Irena Surosoputra admitted that her party was satisfied with the packaging products made by Poshana. The types of packaging used by Cokelatin include boxes, flexible packaging, sachets and labels for bottles and cans.

“By using labels and packaging from Poshana collaborators, the appearance of our food/drink packaging looks more premium. Customers also assess that our products are not only delicious in terms of taste but also have a safety function in the delivery process. Where packaging support is very helpful for Cokelatin Signature products “We penetrate world markets such as Saudi Arabia and Dubai because the packaging produced by Poshana collaborators is in accordance with global standards both in terms of stable color quality consistency and finishing which can maintain the integrity of the quality of the chocolate product until it reaches the destination country,” concluded Irena (S- 1)
