A plantation of cannabis seedlings was found in a forested area of Kavala, while three men were arrested for the case, against whom a case file was filed for drug cultivation and trafficking.
Specifically, police officers of the Drug Prosecution Team of the Kavala Security Department, in collaboration with police officers of the Pangai Police Department, in the context of appropriate utilization of information regarding the cultivation of cannabis plants for the purpose of drug trafficking, identified the perpetrators as having traveled in two vehicles . cars in a plantation of cannabis seedlings that was located in an inaccessible forest area of Kavala. There they arrested one of the perpetrators, who was collecting the cannabis, and his two associates who were monitoring the area. They are looking for two of their accomplices who escaped capture by taking advantage of the dense vegetation and darkness.
During the police operation, 57 cannabis plants, more than 12.5 kg of raw cannabis, cultivation equipment of the plantation, the cars and the two mobile phones were seized.
The arrested were taken to the District Attorney of Kavala, while the preliminary investigation was conducted by the Kavala Security Department.
