The Guayaquil group Granada Carmesí has experienced different lineup and sound changes, but it seems that after a few years it has found its sonic identity.
Hugo Menoscal (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Andrés Echanique (guitar), Luis Castro (bass) and Juan Carlos Jiménez (drums) are currently in charge of mixing. rock alternative and pop with which the band experiments.

The single that will be part of a future EP was recorded and produced at the Flecha Zen studio by the band members themselves, while the mixing and mastering were carried out by Chilean producer Joao Beltrán in the POST studio.
As far as production is concerned, there is little or nothing to criticize. A fresh sound is reflected in the technical aspect. Clear instrument lines, in which each one stands out and has its moment. Hugo’s voice highlights what is necessary, remembering of course that we continue to speak in terms of grouping.
From the critic’s point of view and having given space to Granada Carmesí on previous occasions, it is good to be able to perceive a new sound design in his work. Being a band with discipline and perseverance, creative stagnation has unfortunately been one of its evils. That he has found a fixed lineup of musicians and is releasing new music after two years is a good sign.
Artists must work tirelessly until they feel satisfied with their work, something that generally does not happen, but it is a good way to begin the search in the infinite sea of possibilities that art offers. (O)
