Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has revealed that he has refused to pay huge remuneration to male actors for acting in the film.

Karan Johar has revealed that major actors flatly refused to work in his new low-budget film ‘Kul’. Because the amount they were asking for was equal to the budget of the entire film. After which I signed new actors in the cast of my film.

The budget of the film ‘Kul’ was 40 crore Indian rupees and the famous actors were demanding almost the same amount for acting in the film.

Karan Johar asked the actors that will you give me a guarantee that the film will do business of 120 crores tomorrow.

Karan Johar complained that even new actors are now demanding huge remuneration, even though they have no significant work experience and are not willing to take risks.

Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar also shared more or less similar views. He says that male actors or the hero of the film take seventy percent of the budget. This situation needs to change. Karan Johar and other film makers should reduce the remuneration of the actors and give it to the technical staff.
