The firefighting forces working on a fire in a forest area in Rosena in Xylokastro Corinthia were reinforced.
As it became known from the Fire Service, the intensity of the winds blowing at the site have increased, with the wind gusts being very strong. In addition, according to the Fire Service, the difficult road of the area does not facilitate its approach by the forces, making the work of extinguishing difficult.
The fire broke out around 10.51 in an agroforestry area and then spread to a forest area without, however, threatening any settlement. To extinguish it, 135 firefighters (including 6 forestry teams), 34 vehicles, 6 helicopters (including one for coordination) and 13 aircraft have been mobilized.

Support is provided by OTA water carriers and project machines, while 2 project machines from GEETHA have also been mobilized.
It is noted that according to information, the personnel of the Fire Services in Attica, Central Greece, Western Greece and Peloponnese were put on general alert.
