Deportivo Táchira tied against Metropolitanos (1-1) but maintains the lead in the 2024 Clausura Tournament of the FUTVE League, the First Division of Venezuelan soccer, whose tenth day ended this Sunday.

Metropolitanos took the lead on the scoreboard in the 54th minute of the match with a shot from Marco Bustillo, which put the Aurinegros in trouble, who had several clear scoring chances, but were unable to finish.

It was not until added time in the second half that Luis Zúñiga was able to score a goal for Táchira, thus saving a point on the day.

Carabobo celebrated

Meanwhile, Carabobo climbed to third position in the standings after beating Portuguesa by the minimum, thanks to a shot by Miguel Ángel Pernía in added time.

The Maroons were superior during the match with at least five shots near the goal that did not come to fruition until the final minutes of the second half.

This result drops Universidad Central to fourth place in the standings, which also won on this day against Rayo Zuliano, with a goal from striker Juan Carlos Zapata in the 71st minute of the match.

Caracas reacted

Caracas returned to the path of victory, after beating Inter de Barinas by two goals, remaining in tenth place in the standings with only three games won, four tied and three lost.

El Rojo showed their attacking cards from the beginning of the match, which was confirmed with a goal from Edwuin Pernía in the 8th minute, who hit the goal with a bicycle kick that went into the back of the net.

This goal woke up Inter de Barinas, who attacked with mid-range shots, but Caracas increased the score in the 34th minute, with a shot by Echenique.
