Venezuelans must have a valid passport and ID to enter the country

The executive president of the Association of Airlines of Venezuela (ALAV), Maricela de Loaiza, confirmed this Monday that the airlines are complying with the regulations of the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC). This regulation requires that Venezuelans present their valid passport and identification card when entering or leaving the country.

«Right now they are not boarding the passenger if he does not have a valid passport or ID.“He said, noting that the air sector received a minute after holding a meeting with representatives of INAC and Saime.

In addition, he noted that airlines that do not adhere to these regulations could face financial sanctions.

ALAV announced the frequency of flights

On the other hand, ALAV anticipates that this year the frequencies of flights to other countries with which they still maintain operations will increase.

«Airlines to destinations being operated could increase«he pointed out.

Among the destinations being considered for a possible increase in flight frequencies are Mexico, Curacao and Colombia.

The ALAV representative indicated that there are currently 92 weekly flights from Venezuela to other countries. “In July, when all operations were active, 181 international weekly frequencies were registered,” he added.

Regarding the suspension of flights to Chile, he mentioned that, although “it is not significant in numerical terms” since it was a single weekly flight, it was important for the connection with other destinations in South America.
