Ana de Armas becomes the next assassin of the John Wick universe with “Ballerina” — Futuro Chile

Yesterday afternoon, Lionsgate released the first official trailer for “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina”, the next film belonging to the world of John Wick.

With four installments and a sequel in series format on the way, “Ballerina” joins the Wick universe as a spin-off based on the brutal assassin, Eve Macarro.

As the trailer shows, the events of the film take place after “John Wick 3: Parabellum.” “Ballerina” tells the story of Macarro, a young orphan who joins the Russian criminal organization, known as Ruska Roma. The ruthless assassin forges her path in the dark world with the intention of avenging her father’s death.

In addition, Keanu Reeves himself as Wick will appear in the film as one of Macarro’s targets. Added to this are the original characters of Ian McShane and Anjelica Husto.

The first action teaser shows us Ana de Armas ready for anything, with a large number of intense scenes with brutal battles and murders. Regarding “Ballerina”, the Spanish actress said:

«Everything we have re-recorded needed to be in the final cut. We have gotten very good footage, and it is spectacular. I’m very proud, and it’s very exciting. It’s dangerous, it’s sexy, it’s very “John Wick.” I think people are going to love it. Of course, I can’t be impartial. “I like the movie and I think it’s going to be great.”

In addition, he spoke about filming the action scenes performed with Reeves: «This man was just rolling, throwing me and doing these crazy stunts, and I was like: I can’t complain anymore. “He really is the best,” he added.

“From the World of John Wick: Ballerina” will be released in theaters next year. There is no official date yet.
