Gresini Racing RACER Marc Marquez wants to take advantage of the momentum of his hat trick to reach the podium in three consecutive MotoGP races ahead of the 15th series of the 2024 season at the Mandalika Circuit, Indonesia, Sunday (29/9).
Marc Marquez climbed the podium three times in a row by winning first place at Aragon and San Marino, then achieved third podium at the Emilia Romagna GP last week.
Thanks to three consecutive podiums, Marc Marquez, who is in fourth place in the standings with 281 points, is now only 16 points behind Francesco Bagnaia, who is in second place.
“Francesco Bagnaia’s fall is of course an advantage for us, pocketing an additional 16 valuable points. Now I am looking forward to the Indonesian GP,” said Marc Marquez in a press release, Wednesday (25/9).
“Let’s enjoy this podium. Our pace was comfortable enough to finish in fourth position in this race, but I could have taken a bigger risk to finish in fourth position with a difference of 3 seconds or set the pace and finish in fourth position with a difference 8 seconds,” he continued.
Alex Marquez, Marc Marquez’s younger brother, who managed to finish in ninth position after starting the race from the back row at the Emilia Romagna GP, stated that he couldn’t wait to try out the Mandalika Circuit.

“This (Emilia Romagna GP) was probably my worst race start this year. Nevertheless, we got good results in a difficult race,” said Alex.
“Now it’s time for Indonesia, the race I missed last year due to injury and the conditions will be very different,” he added.
In the MotoGP standings, Marc Marquez is in fourth position with 281 points, while Alex Marquez has now moved up to ninth position with 121 points. (Ant/Z-1)
