The 49-year-old Russian woman who confessed to the murder of her 68-year-old husband in Corfu is facing the charges of intentional homicide in a calm state of mind, carrying a weapon and using a weapon.
The perpetrator of the murder in Corfu received today (29.09.2024) a deadline until next Wednesday morning, in order to apologize.
The 49-year-old is temporarily detained until Wednesday, after which an Investigator and Prosecutor will decide her fate.
According to her lawyer, Gerasimos Grammeno, the incident took place as follows – as broadcast by ERT -: “The husband pressured her for sexual intercourse and threatened her, to which she did not consent and when she refused, an intense fight ensued. She accepts that she stabbed her husband but without intending to kill him or cause him any harm.
He denies that the 11-year-old girl was in front of the incident, but that she was sleeping in his room.”
As she said, when she saw her husband lying on the floor covered in blood, she tried to provide first aid and resuscitation and as soon as she realized that he was dead, she collected the blood, more so that the child would not see the unpleasant image and not to cover up the crime, and flew away the clothes together with the knife in the bin.
Then the girl woke up, they left the house and called the police together, but the girl spoke, but in the presence of his mother.
As far as her alcoholism is concerned, she claims that she had had very little to drink that day.
However, the child is currently in a safe environment, in a friendly family – unknown for how long – by order of the prosecutor and with the consent of the child himself.
