Artemas Kolbasynskis, the former ballet artist of the Klaipėda Musical Theater, died on the battlefield in Ukraine Culture

“Today we received the sad news that the former Ukrainian ballet artist of the Klaipėda State Musical Theater Artemas Kolbasynskis was killed in Ukraine, on the battlefield.

in 2022 in the spring, as soon as the war started in Ukraine, he went to his country to defend the Motherland and his relatives. The dancer said that he would lose his dignity and humanity if he remained to live quietly in Klaipėda with his beloved girl.

“I have to go back to my country and defend it from the invaders. This is my duty both to the Motherland and to the relatives who remained there. But this decision was difficult, I won’t hide it,” he said then.

People.lt in 2022. wrote on March 23 that the Ukrainian ballet artist Artemas Kolbasynskis of the Klaipėda State Musical Theater will still dance in the March performances, but will leave for Ukraine at the end of the month.

“I have to go back to my country and defend it from the invaders. This is my duty both to the Motherland and to the relatives who remained there. But this decision was difficult, I won’t hide it,” he says.
