Vado wants to conquer Europe. And to do this, the Turin start-up, which automates delivery, transforming vending machines into intelligent points of sale connected to the main delivery apps, has closed a seed round with a collection of 444 thousand euros to digitize the vending machine sector with delivery automated and accelerate European expansion.

The operation was led by Startup Wise Guys, one of the most active accelerators dedicated to early stage startups at European level, with the participation, among others, of Angels 4 Impact, represented by Alberto Adorini, Mooney and former McKinsey executive , as champion, Eberhard Schmidt, German investor and entrepreneur, former McKinsey, Gianni Tagliapietra, Italian entrepreneur, and the business angels Hugo Valdivia and Silvestro Russo.

Vado aims to accelerate international expansion

With the funds raised, Vado aims to accelerate international expansion, with a focus on Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France, to strengthen integrations with other vending machine manufacturers and to implement new technologies based on generative AI, to further optimize processes delivery and improve the customer experience.

Andrea T. Orlando becomes responsible for business development

In addition to the capital increase, Vado announces the entry of Andrea T. Orlando as late co-founder. Already managing partner and CEO in Italy of Startup Wise Guys, Orlando returns to the other side of the table after completing the investments of his fund.

What the start-up does

Founded in Turin at the end of 2020, Vado is an innovative start-up that offers digital solutions for delivery, allowing retailers to integrate an automated and efficient sales channel in various sectors, including food, pharmacy, drinks, beauty and pet dear. Its mission is to transform a traditionally static market such as that of vending machines into a dynamic ecosystem, connected to modern delivery platforms and capable of responding to the growing needs of consumers.

Thanks to the connection with delivery apps such as UberEats, Just Eat, Glovo and Deliveroo, this solution opens the doors to a new generation of vending machines, which are no longer limited to direct on-site sales, but become true automated delivery hubs . With Vado Delivery, in fact, distributors are able to manage deliveries in less than 30 minutes, generating higher revenues for each single machine, 24-hour sales, without the fixed costs of a physical store. In this way, the company allows retailers to reduce management costs by up to 80%, thanks to the complete automation of the sales and distribution process.

Not only that. Vado facilitates access and use of these new solutions thanks to the QR Code Branded Payment System, a system that allows users to purchase products from vending machines without having to download apps or use physical POS.
