Loan’s lawyer revealed that there is a new suspect

The lawyer for the family of Loan Danilo Peña, the 5-year-old boy who disappeared more than 100 days ago, provided a new perspective on the progress of the case. Juan Pablo Gallego revealed that there is a new suspect under investigation and assured that the case “is on track.”.

In dialogue with “Noticias Argentinas”, Gallego confirmed that “There is a person who is not detained yet, but is under the scrutiny of investigators”. The lawyer highlighted that the investigation has taken an important turn in recent weeks and hinted that there could be new arrests in the coming hours.

“We are closer to the truth. We focus on what really happened, which is what has never been investigated before. This does not appear to be an international trafficking network, but rather a small organized provincial group“said the lawyer, who assumed the representation of the family after the resignation of Fernando Burlando.

Gallego was emphatic in pointing out that, until now, the investigation had been hindered by false testimonies that diverted the search. However, he stressed that “the path to the truth is being weeded”. For the lawyer, the attempts to mount an operation to confuse or cover up the facts have been in vain. “The path to truth is inexorable”he stated with conviction.

Juan Pablo Gallego denied wanting to denounce Loan’s grandmother

On the other hand, Gallego took the opportunity to deny the versions that indicated that he planned to denounce Judge Cristina Pozzer Penzo, who is in charge of the case, and Catalina Peña, the child’s grandmother.

“I did not report the judge”he clarified. However, he did not hide his discontent with the grandmother’s attitude, and criticized the fact that she was not immediately summoned to testify during the first days of the disappearance. “She could have explained what happened.”concluded the lawyer.
