VICTORY AGAINST ÖREBRO | Brynäs IF

There was an interesting first period in tonight’s away match against Örebro. The period offered a fast-paced game and plenty of scoring chances.

We showed an aggressive game and were close to score the first goal of the match, but the home team also created some really dangerous goalscoring chances.

After 08:24 we got the chance in a five-on-four game, where we showed a strong power play game with good pressure and a lot of shots.

We created plenty of scoring chances and managed to collect two shots on goal, but Örebro kept away.

Despite several good scoring chances after the power play, the teams had to go to the period break with the score 0–0.

The second period was initially more of a low-chance story, but the longer the period went on, the more we started to take over.

We showed a strong defensive game and switched up our offensive game considerably. Longer attacks and good scoring chances replaced each other and a Brynäs goal was in the air.

At 18:32, the lead finally came after a well-placed shot by Jack Kopacka, 0–1.

The third period barely had time to start before we once again got the chance in a five-on-four game, the power play game unfortunately did not work as well this time and another goal was missed.

More goals were to come though, after 06:03 Jack Kopacka was able to score his second goal of the game after a tangled situation in front of the home team’s goal, 0–2.

After the 0-2 goal, we continued to pump and Örebro had a hard time. However, the home team were not completely without a chance, as they were only one shot away from reducing the game.

The home team picked out the goalkeeper to catch up and they managed to create a bit of chaos but instead of a reduction goal, Charle-Edouard D’Astous was able to determine the final score of the match in an empty cage, 0–3.
