Minuto30.com .- In a joint operation, the GAULA of the Cúcuta Metropolitan Police and the Military GAULA managed to capture Wilmer Andrés López Silva, alias “Crustáceo”, identified as the head of hitmen of the Organized Criminal Group (GDCO) AK47.
The arrest was carried out in flagrante delicto for the crimes of extortion and possession, trafficking and manufacture of restricted use weapons and ammunition.
The arrest occurred during information control and verification activities in the city of Cúcuta. During the procedure, the authorities seized an IM26 fragmentation grenade and pamphlets related to the GDCO AK47, evidencing the detainee’s connection with criminal activities in the region.
López Silva has an extensive criminal record, including records for forced disappearance, illegal possession of weapons, trafficking and manufacturing of narcotics, personal injuries and domestic violence. In addition, he is credited with material responsibility for the murder of Professional Soldier Francisco Contreras Carrillo, which occurred on September 23 of this year.
This operation represents a significant blow against crime in the region, reaffirming the authorities’ commitment to maintaining security and public order in Cúcuta.
