Walkout of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistani delegation during Israeli Prime Minister’s address – Pakistan

The Pakistani delegation walked out on the occasion of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to the United Nations General Assembly. Dozens of diplomats, including Pakistani and Iranian diplomats, left the General Assembly hall as Netanyahu came on stage.

Pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel chants erupted during the General Assembly session when Netanyahu arrived to deliver the address. As soon as he started his speech, various countries including Pakistan walked out in protest.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said in his address that I heard lies from many speakers here. Israel wants peace and has always wanted peace.

The Israeli Prime Minister said that we made great efforts for friendship between Arabs and Jews. A deal was about to be struck between Saudi Arabia and Israel, then a tragedy struck and the Holocaust was recalled.

The Israeli Prime Minister said that the Security Council should impose sanctions on Iran for its efforts to build nuclear weapons. Iran should be stopped from developing a nuclear weapons program. Israel will do whatever it can in this regard.

Netanyahu said that 90 percent of Hamas rockets have been destroyed. Hamas’ ability to attack has been greatly reduced. If Hamas remains strong, it will continue to attack Israel, so it must be eliminated. I ask Hamas to release the hostages who are alive. If Hamas surrenders, this war can end right now.

The Israeli Prime Minister said that the food we send to Gaza is seized by Hamas and sold at a high price. That is why she is getting stronger. We want to make Gaza a weapon-free zone. We want local civil administration in Gaza.
