SHANGHAI, Sept. 30, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Themed “Facilitating Digital and Intelligent Upgrades of Industrial Networks”, the Xinghe Intelligent WAN session was successfully held at HUAWEI CONNECT 2024. In this session, Huawei, together with leading customers and industry partners, explored intelligent WAN industry trends, shared best practices of digital and intelligent transformation, and unveiled the updated Xinghe Intelligent WAN solution. The session aimed to drive industry wide area networks to evolve from cloud wide area networks to AI wide area networks and facilitate digital and intelligent upgrades across all industries.
Raymond Zuo, president of the metropolitan router field of Huawei’s data communications product line, kicked off the session with a keynote speech. He noted that wide-area networks face new challenges as governments accelerate their digital transformation, IP-based production networks expand rapidly, and emerging services such as video conferencing and intelligent computing expand to a frantic pace. With the continued expansion of wide area networks in rural areas and branch offices, different services pose higher requirements for service level agreements, and new networks require continued simplification of operation and management . Focusing on WAN scenarios, Huawei continuously innovates in terms of ultra-wideband and wide coverage, differentiated assurance and intelligent O&M, and launched the Xinghe intelligent series products and solutions, which are leading of the industry.
Then, Gao Wei, Director of the Internet Center of the Institute of Technology and Standards of CAICT, delivered a speech on the new quality of the Internet. He points out that networked information technology has entered the intelligence era, with networks connecting not only traditional users, systems and applications, but also computing power and data.
Ren Guangtao, chief architect of the metropolitan router field of Huawei’s data communications product line, also gave a speech. He noted that the Xinghe Intelligent WAN solution has brought significant improvements in convergence and wide coverage, ultimate experience and intelligent operation and maintenance.
Next, Paolo Volpato, senior expert of Huawei and member of IEEE EPCC, Chen Kai, deputy general manager of Jiangsu Yancheng Port Intelligent Equipment Co. Ltd, and Edsel Paglinawan, vice president and head of product and innovation of ETPI, shared their ideas on the evolution of IPv6+AI and their best practices. The speeches sparked lively debates among the participants.
