Report from the match Arsenal FC – Leicester City: statistics, report

Arsenal beat Leicester 4-2 at home in the sixth round of the Premier League to move within points of leaders Manchester City. Leandro Trossard saved the win for the Gunners with a goal in the fourth minute of regulation, after which Kai Havertz secured the home team’s lead.

Arsenal conceded a last-minute equalizer at Manchester City last weekend and now looked determined to make quick amends against the Foxes. But Bukaya Saka’s shot was blocked by goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, and Gabriel Martinelli’s sights were betrayed when he shot over the goal from a good position. The home side’s initial pressure led to a goal in the 20th minute when Jurrien Timber’s quick pass was cleared against the post by Martinelli for his first goal of the season.

In addition, Hermansen then destroyed Martinelli’s chance and then Havertz’s shot from close range. However, they deservedly doubled their lead late in the half when Martinelli’s pass was converted by Trossard.

However, just two minutes after the break, James Justin reduced Facundo Buonanotte’s free kick to 1:2. Arsenal came close to an immediate reply but Hermansen picked out first Gabriel and then Trossard. In the 63rd minute, Justin naturally equalized with the second goal of the match, who took advantage of Wilfred Ndidi’s offer with a volley.

Hermansen was incredible for a long time when Havertz and Trossard got burned on him. In the fourth minute of stoppage time, however, Trossard got the better of the ball with a shot at the back post. Havertz then added the icing on the cake with a precise finish from close range, and Arsenal equaled Pep Guardiola’s leader Manchester City on points.
