Miloš Zeman celebrated his jubilee at the Štekl hotel. Orbán, Fico, Kaliňák and the Chinese ambassador congratulated him

Ex-president Miloš Zeman celebrated his eightieth birthday today in the four-star Štekl hotel in Hluboká nad Vltavou. For example, his friends and leading Czech politicians accepted the invitation to his celebration. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kaliňák and Chinese Ambassador Feng Biao also posed for the cameras on Saturday afternoon. Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, Polish President Andrzej Duda and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán were also present.

After the welcome, Miloš Zeman presented everyone with a copy of his latest book The President’s Destiny, which he also signed for them. On his official Facebook profile, the former president then boasted that he sat at the same table with statesmen Fic and Kaliňák or that Ambassador Feng Biao handed him the congratulations of the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping.

In addition to Czech politicians, such as former Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (ANO), SPD leader Tomio Okamura, KSČM leader Kateřina Konečná or MEP Filip Turk (Přísaha), Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić should have received the invitation.

According to ČTK, Babiš told journalists before coming to the celebration that ANO became the winner of the senate elections, when it won eight mandates out of 27 possible. “Andrej Babiš is the future prime minister, and I congratulate him on that. Moreover, he will not have to form a coalition government, but will govern only with his movement,” said Zeman at the beginning of the celebrations for the elections to the House of Representatives, which will take place in autumn next year.
