Officialism and opposition! This Saturday, September 28, 2024, sectors of the ruling party and the opposition take part in marches in Caracas.

Through its official IG account, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) indicated the time of the mobilization and the departure point.

«’It’s Today. We are going to the streets dear people, the whole country celebrates two months of the great popular victory of our president @nicolasmaduro and we will do it with mobilizations in all corners of our country. If you are in Caracas, come to Plaza Venezuela. Starting at 12:00 PM we will gather to march in defense of peace, against fascism and violence. ‼️So bring your flag and your poster, we are waiting for you!! ️”, the publication reads.

For her part, the Venezuelan opponent, María Corina Machado, reiterated the call to citizens to protest this Saturday and denounce what was announced by the National Electoral Council (CNE) in the July 28 elections, when Nicolás Maduro was announced as the winner.

“We are going to go out throughout the country, moving together, in a coordinated manner, with great intelligence. “We are going to make ourselves felt, that the truth be respected, because this September 28, we Venezuelans are going to shake the world, with discipline, with trust among ourselves,” the opposition member expressed on her X account.

In the same order of ideas, he explained that the demonstration will be held in “swarm” mode, which is a new type of protest characterized by its cunning, in order to minimize the risks for the participants and highlight the message that they will seek to give.

“The ‘comanditos’ organized in swarms can do many things and I know that you understand me. The swarm is a mobile, agile, super dynamic organization, without beginning or end, liquid, adaptable, that appears and disappears, that acts in a decentralized manner and is coordinated through social networks,” he added.

So far, Machado, who has remained under protection, has not confirmed whether he will participate in any of these protests. However, the demonstrations are expected to take place around 12:00 noon.
