Palestine – On Saturday, sounds of explosions were heard in various areas of the occupied West Bank resulting from the Israeli “Iron Dome” system responding to missiles and the flying of their shrapnel, in light of the military escalation between the Lebanese factions and Israel.

Eyewitnesses reported to Anadolu that fragments of missiles fell in the villages of Ain Yabrud and Sinjil, northeast of Ramallah, and others in the town of Huwwara, south of Nablus.

Citizens documented the moment the shrapnel fell after the “Iron Dome” system intercepted missiles launched from Lebanon, after hearing the sounds of explosions in the sky of the city of Ramallah and its surroundings as a result of the interceptions.

Sirens sounded twice on Saturday morning in several settlements in the central West Bank.

On Saturday, the Lebanese factions announced, in statements via Telegram, the bombing of Israeli settlements, following a night of violent raids launched by Israeli fighters on the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Israeli Army Radio reported that a missile launched from Lebanon landed in an open area near Ramallah, while the Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation confirmed that “air defenses intercepted a missile launched from Lebanon towards West Bank settlements at a depth of 100 kilometers.”

The missile launch came after a violent and unprecedent raid, on Friday evening, on Haret Hreik in the southern suburb of Beirut, which Hebrew media said targeted the Secretary-General of the Lebanese factions, Hassan Nasrallah, and led to his injury, while there was no denial or confirmation in this regard from the party until 10 p.m. :10 T.G.

Since September 23, the Israeli army has launched the “most violent and widespread” attack on Lebanon since the beginning of the confrontations with “Hezbollah” about a year ago. As of Friday morning, it resulted in 726 deaths, including children and women, and 2,173 wounded, according to Anatolia’s monitoring of Lebanese authorities’ data.
