LEADER of the 2024 MotoGP standings, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) said he wanted to maintain consistency throughout the race at the Indonesian GP at the Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, this weekend.

This is because Martin did not manage to finish the race in last year’s edition because he fell when entering the crisis laps, even though he appeared strong at the start of the race.

“Yes, last season I was strong, which is an important thing. I won the Sprint and then led by three seconds, so maybe I was too optimistic in the race,” said Martin as quoted by BetweenFriday (27/9).

For this season’s edition, the Spaniard is determined to reduce several mistakes that could potentially lead to a repeat of the same incident in Mandalika.

“I feel I can be competitive as usual, so I will keep my head down because it is important to maintain the same consistency throughout the weekend,” said Martin.

“I also remember making some mistakes in qualifying, so I will try and concentrate more and be like I was in the last race,” he added.

The main race for the Indonesian GP will be held on Sunday (28/9) at 14.00 WIB. (Z-6)
