Shanghai Electric (“the Company”) (SEHK:2727, SSE:601727) was in the spotlight at the 24th China International Industry Fair (CIIF), one of the largest global platforms for industry players, where the Company showcased its business strategies and technological capabilities to visitors, that help accelerate the development of tomorrow’s technologies.
In the presence of the company’s vice president Jia Tinggang, Shanghai Electric introduced SRunicloud 5.0 and its industrial Internet platform 5.0, and announced the “Joint Initiative for Industrial Digital Carbon Management Construction” together with industry partners. This puts the company in a position to open a new chapter for the industrial Internet ecosystem.
The four latest flagship products showcased at CIIF included the Green Methanol Integrated System Solution, the world’s largest floating offshore energy platform generatora AI-supported big data center with the intelligent maintenance platform SIMPLE for gas turbines and an environmentally friendly, high efficiency R290 electric refrigerant compressor for alternative fuel vehicles.

Energy: Boosting Global Green Transition
– Integrated wind-solar storage regulation system: Shanghai Electric optimizes wind and solar power generation through high-level coordination and complementarity. The company’s hybrid energy storage and phase modifiers address active power consumption and reactive power support, ensuring new energy production is measurable, controllable, stable and profitable.
– Integrated hydrogen system: Shanghai Electric has developed a comprehensive hydrogen energy system including production, storage, refueling and utilization. The company utilizes state-of-the-art alkaline and PEM water electrolysis technologies and offers integrated solutions for green process engineering, hydrogen metallurgy, hydrogen transport and hydrogen energy storage.
– Integrated green methanol system: Shanghai Electric’s integrated green methanol equipment system includes off-grid hydrogen production through wind power, large-scale gaseous hydrogen storage, biomass gasification and methanol synthesis technologies from CO2-rich syngas. The innovative method of system coupling adapts to fluctuations in hydrogen production from wind power and significantly improves the efficiency of using renewable hydrogen/carbon.
Industry: Driving the next industrial revolution
– Shipbuilding: Shanghai Electric strengthens China’s shipbuilding sector by providing a comprehensive range of marine products, including large castings and forgings, crankshafts, pumps, valves and various marine systems for ballast water management, corrosion protection, wastewater treatment and power generation. The company’s solid industrial base and significant delivery successes position it for further growth in this area.
– Land transport: In the field of electric vehicles, Shanghai Electric provides comprehensive services ranging from low-carbon equipment development, battery production equipment manufacturing, intelligent assembly lines and thermal management systems. In the rail transportation sector, Shanghai Electric is a global leader in electromechanical equipment and systems, covering over 90% of urban rail transportation needs while providing state-of-the-art maintenance and lifecycle management solutions.
